ODL has developed IMPACT, a unique competence training system that maximises the use of companies' existing documents and data. This enables site-specific training to be delivered 'just in time' at the workplace, which research shows, significantly increases its effectiveness and retention.

IMPACT is available to support new starts and current employees. Vital information is just a click away, offering the chance to learn about a system or to 'refresh' knowledge whenever it is needed, eg on first arrival on the platform or just before operating a particular piece of equipment. IMPACT significantly reduces the training workload for supervisors by providing a means by which site-specific training can be delivered whenever it is required.
